Pet Registration Information
- For the safety and well being of your pets, the city requires all citizens to register their pets. (Cats and Dogs)
- You must provide current Rabies certificates when registering your pets.
- Registration tags are issued at the City Hall.
- If your pet loses their tag, a replacement may be provided for $3
- New pets can be registered for $5.
- Registration Renewal is $3 and must be done every year
- Registration and Rabies tags must be worn by your pets at all times.

New State regulations regarding restraining an animal by chain or tether
New state regulations prohibit the restraint of an animal by a chain or other tether on a 24 hour basis.
Any animal found at large within the city limits is subject to impoundment. Dogs must be confined to the home owner's property or contained inside a structure or within a fenced area. Cats trespassing upon or damaging the property of others may be contained by the property owner and will also be impounded. Fees are charged for redemption and citations may be issued for offenders.
